According to Shawn Xu, this vehicle with renewable energy was developed on 3 platforms.

First, vehicles are categorized as High Performance Intelligent Pure Electric (E0X).

Two, commercial electric-based vehicles or Light Commercial Vehicle Pure Electric (COX).

Finally, Hybrid-based High Performance vehicles (T2X).

For the electric car market in Indonesia itself, Chery considers it a potential market.

However, PT Chery Sales Indonesia will not be in a hurry to provide electric cars here.

As an illustration, Shawn mentioned that in China itself, with good electric-based vehicle infrastructure, it currently takes 30 percent of the cake from total sales.

Chery is rumored to be launching their newest product, Omoda 5.

This new product will enter the sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment.

Omoda 5 has dimensions of 4,400 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,585 mm in height, and 2,630 mm in wheelbase.

Omoda 5 uses a 1,600-cc, four-cylinder TGDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine, which claims to be capable of spewing power up to 197 hp with 290 Nm of torque.

The engine consists of two variants, namely the 1,600 cc TGDI with 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque and the 1,500 cc TCI with 155 hp and 230 Nm of torque.

This car is embedded with a number of the latest features, such as automatic driving, electronic power steering (EPS), electronic parking system (EPB), autohold, lane keeping system (LDP), traffic signal recognition system (TSR), adaptive cruise control (ACC), and cruise integrated assists.
